The device is designed to simplify the determination of fat soluble vitamins and cholesterol. Saponification, solid phase extraction and evaporation of introduced samples can be completed automatically within 90 min. The system supports cold / hot saponification (Note: cold = ambient temperature), but takes longer than hot saponification. The system is equipped with five kinds of chemical / solution memories, which can be programmed by users according to their needs (e.g. ethane, potassium hydroxide, hydrochloric acid, distilled water, etc.). The instrument has independent ventilation holes, which can be connected to the ventilation pipeline as required. The device has passed the detection of vitamin A / D / E. After treatment and drying, the final determination should be carried out with the help of other equipment (HPLC, GC).
According to the fat content, the sample size range is 1-5g. When more fat samples (10-30g) are needed, saponification can be carried out separately, and aliquot samples can be extracted and evaporated on the instrument. The whole process is carried out in a controlled nitrogen environment, which can protect the detection of some oxygen sensitive analytes.
The system supports paid upgrade, and the extraction time of crude fat and total fat is about 60 minutes. Compared with the traditional analysis steps, the solvent reduction of the system is more than 70%
